| Kai is an accomplished musician with nearly 32 years experience playing piano and keyboards. His diverse musical background includes his career as an adept producer, composer, arranger and performer. Kai recently toured Europe extensively with Amp Fiddler, performed with Bilal, Omar and currently performs with various bands. Kai served as music director, arranger and musician on several live and recorded projects including an album featuring Ramsey Lewis.
Kai helped create the music for McDonalds “I’m Lovin’ It” campaign and two of Kai’s songs were placed on the Chicago Soul Sessions album. In 2004, Kai founded Studio Sooner where he produces music for a variety of clients. A true virtuoso with enormous talent, Kai performed as a solo pianist at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago and Chicago’s famed Gibson’s Steak House. Kai has a Fine Arts Degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music. He developed his roots in jazz with his teacher Jimmy Hamilton, an original member of the Duke Ellington orchestra.
Kai is available as a solo performer or with as a group with the The Alexander Quartet, an amazing group of musicians who can play everthing from straight ahead jazz to recognizable R&B hits.
