As a prolific songwriter and gifted guitarist, Timothy “Cream” Jones is a truly original artist firmly rooted in a lifelong study of music that includes classical guitar and jazz studies at Howard University.Since first picking up a musical instrument at six years old, Cream Jones has developed into a true student of life and music.  Known for a left handed playing style, Tim incorporates his diverse experience and wealth of knowledge into a signature sound.

A versatile musician, he performs in various bands in a multitude of settings adding his touch to Jazz, Funk, R&B & Rock groups throughout the country. Cream Jones is also a prolific songwriter and maintains his original sound as the leader of his group, Cream Jones & The Resistance.

Influenced by the greats of Jazz, like Wes Montgomery and inspired by the soul music of Donny Hathaway and the geniuses of rock, Pink Floyd, Cream Jones brings a truly open approach to playing and learning music.  A member of Magic Carpet, a group that blends North African, Middle Eastern and Ethiopian music, Cream Jones has a broad repertoire and deep understanding of his craft.  Cream Jones has performed in venues such as The House of Blues and Metro in Chicago.   

Cream Jones is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha, a fraternity dedicated to the highest level of musicianship.
